Where can I find my kitchen faucets model number?

The model number is on all packaging, some faucets, and all installation instructions provided with your kitchen sink faucet. On the packaging, look near the code or the top of the box. Why does my new faucet have reduced flow? My old faucet had plenty of volume.

Please keep in mind that all new faucets since 1994 are restricted to conserve water per EPA code mandates. Older faucets had no restrictions. Beyond intentional flow restriction, new installations can sometimes have reduced flow if the lines are not flushed prior to installation of aerators or shower heads. The flow restrictors required for aerators and shower heads can clog, resulting in greatly reduced flow rates. Remove the aerator or shower head and make sure the flow restrictor is not clogged.

You need to push the fitting up over the nipple a little harder (you should hear a distinct "snap" or "click"). The handle on my kitchen faucet keeps coming loose. What can I do?

With time and use, the set screw on a handle may loosen up. Using a hex wrench will allow you to retighten the set screw in the handle. Your kitchen faucet deck plate came with the correct hex wrench. If you can’t find the hex wrench that came with your faucet, most single handle kitchen faucets will use a 1/8th inch wrench, while most two handle kitchen faucets will use a 3/32nd inch wrench. If this doesn't fix the situation, you may want to loosen the set screw and reseat the handle on the stem to make sure it is lined up properly. Once corrected, you may retighten the handle to the stem unit and it should work normally.

Do not scrub in the opposite direction, or against the grain, as you may scratch the surface of the sink faucet. When finished, rinse thoroughly with warm water and dry with a towel or a soft cloth.
