When the shower faucet leaks, it will affect our normal use. We have different treatment methods for different leaking parts. The following are the five common leaking parts and treatment methods of shower faucets.
Water leaks in the gap between the lower part of the faucet
This is caused by the wear of the triangular seal in the gland. You can loosen the screw to remove the hoe, then loosen the gland, then remove the gland in the triangular sealing ring and replace it with a new one.
Water leakage at the showerhead joint
You can use board tie pliers, first unscrew the handle from the hose, then tie the hose with tape, and clean the threads on the handle. Apply adhesive and tape around the periphery, and finally screw the nozzle back to remove the excess adhesive or tape to avoid the trouble of water leakage.
If there is a crack at the interface, the shower head needs to be replaced in this case. Go to the hardware store to choose the same model, and then reinstall it after you buy it back. You only need to rotate it back to the original position. You should also pay attention to handling with care. If you fall heavily, there will be cracks in the interface, and water will leak over time. You must also pay attention to protective measures.
The showerhead is leaking
If the faucet is tightened, the cause of the water leakage may be the leakage of the water outlet, usually due to the wear of the shaft center gasket in the faucet. In this case, you can use pliers to loosen and remove the gland, and you can use a clamp to remove the shaft gasket and replace it with a new shaft gasket.
Leaking shower head hose
If the installation is improper, the rubber ring will be deformed, the outlet pipe joint will be uneven or too thin, and the hose will not match the shower. You can choose the appropriate hose and shower according to the specifications, then replace the rubber ring, and then replace it with installation.
Water leaks at the connection between the nozzle and the nozzle handle
It may be that the connection between the nozzle and the handle is not connected and the seal is not properly done.
1. Using strap pliers, unscrew the nozzle handle from the hose. Note that if you use other tools (such as a wrench) to tie the tape to the hose to prevent scratches.
2. Clean the internal thread of the handle and apply the usual adhesive around it, or tie a plumber's tape.
3. Rotate the nozzle handle backward and tighten it by hand. Then remove the adhesive and tape.
